He added, “Anyone can be an entrepreneur given the right mindset and attitude, knowledge and skills, and the passion and creativity to do it. It is the character and values that matter in putting up and running a successful business.”

Meanwhile, Victor Madlangbayan, one of the invited speakers advised aspiring entrepreneurs to choose life’s work according to what excites you, and as the saying goes, “you will never ‘work’ a day in your life,” because it simply won’t feel like work, it will feel like the pursuit of passion.
The search for the right business or work may vary and is really different for many but at the end of the day, it is all about fulfillment in the things that you do, he said.

The symposium was a half day event that featured different topics in business in the forms of plenary discussions. It enjoined the participants to develop a positive change in their mindset, and empower them with relevant entrepreneurship tools and concepts as their key to success specifically in pursuing a business venture.

The symposium aimed to inspire students and aspiring entrepreneurs to look at business in a different way and possibly encourage them to start their own business ventures by featuring young successful and inspiring entrepreneurs. (SMRN/PIAMisocc)
