The province holds an information caravan in bid for the “World Aids Day Celebration” and raise awareness of people with risky behaviors to submit for testing as the public social hygiene clinics.
The caravan on 01 December highlights stops at the municipal halls for the ceremonial unveiling of the HIV billboards.
Provincial Infectious Diseases Coordinator Ruena Shane Salcedo said people should not let their guards down as the disease is highly active especially among men who have sex with men (MSM).
She said the Camiguin General hospital (CGH) social hygiene clinic is open to everyone interested for free. It serves people suspecting of having HIV or simply those suffering of sexually transmitted infection (STIs).
Patients get free doctor’s consultation and medications, while trained personnel likewise extend counseling services. (JCV/PIA-10)
